  • In Australia, osteopaths are university-qualified allied health professionals who take the time to listen and treat patients as a whole, not just focusing on one pain point.

    Osteopaths focus on the neuro-musculoskeletal system, which comprises bones, muscles, nerves and other tissues that support the human body and control its movements. They provide musculoskeletal and nervous system assessments, manual therapy, clinical exercise programs, and movement, postural, positioning advice and ergonomic assessments.

    Osteopaths may also offer ongoing support and educational advice about lifestyle, stress management, diet or other factors that may influence a person’s pain, injury or movement.

  • Your first appointment is designed to give us a thorough understanding of your concerns, goals, and overall health. We'll begin by discussing your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and what you're hoping to achieve through treatment.

    A comprehensive assessment will then be completed, which may include observing your posture, movement, strength, flexibility, and performing any relevant orthopaedic or neurological tests.

    Where appropriate, treatment will begin during your first consultation. You'll also receive a clear explanation of our findings, along with personalised advice and a management plan tailored to your individual goals.

  • No. You don't need a referral from your GP or another healthcare provider to book an appointment at First Class Health.

    If you've been referred by your doctor or another practitioner, you're welcome to bring any relevant information with you.

  • If you have any relevant scans, imaging reports, specialist letters, or test results, please bring them along to your appointment.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Depending on the area being assessed, you may be asked to remove or adjust some clothing so an appropriate examination can be performed. Your comfort, privacy, and dignity will always be respected throughout your consultation.

  • Yes. We welcome patients of all ages, including children and teenagers. Every assessment and treatment is tailored to the individual's age, stage of development, and specific needs.

  • Yes. If your private health insurance policy includes osteopathy, you may be eligible to claim a rebate. As consultations are paid securely online at the time of booking, you'll receive a tax invoice that can be used to claim directly with your health fund. The rebate available will depend on your individual level of cover, so we recommend checking with your insurer if you're unsure.

  • At this stage, First Class Health is not accepting WorkSafe, TAC or DVA claims.

  • If you're eligible for a GP Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, you may be able to receive a Medicare rebate for your consultation. Please speak with your GP to determine your eligibility and bring your referral paperwork with you to your appointment.
